Jemry Pty Ltd, trading as Kenilworth Hotel & Brewery, is seeking an experienced and passionate Full-Time Chefs and Cooks to join its kitchen team at 18 Elizabeth Street, Kenilworth QLD 4574.

Located in the heart of the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Kenilworth Hotel & Brewery is a character-filled hospitality venue known for its welcoming atmosphere, onsite craft brewery and distinctive food offering. The kitchen prepares a diverse menu featuring American BBQ-style dishes made using meats smoked onsite, classic pub meals and daily specials prepared with quality local ingredients.

This is an opportunity to join an established venue offering a creative and fast-paced kitchen environment where food quality, consistency, teamwork and operational efficiency are valued.

Position: Full-Time [Chefs and Cooks]

Location: Kenilworth QLD 4574

Salary: AUD $70,000 to $80,000 per annum plus superannuation

Candidates with the relevant qualifications, practical kitchen experience and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality food are encouraged to apply.

Scope of the Roles:

Overseeing daily kitchen operations, including staff delegation, stock rotation, and maintaining accurate records.
Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, either regularly or for special functions and events.
Managing production schedules and staff requirements to ensure timely service delivery.
Estimating food supply needs, calculating costs for ingredients, and managing orders accordingly.
Inspecting supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure adherence to established quality standards.
Analysing recipes and advising prices to menu items based on food, labour, and overhead costs.
Working closely with team members to execute established recipes and menus with consistency and precision, ensuring alignment with seasonal availability and anticipated customer volume.
Demonstrating new cooking techniques and introducing equipment to staff for continual culinary improvement.
Oversee workstation readiness by ensuring mise en place is complete, equipment is functional, and kitchen operations are primed for service efficiency and food quality standards.
Prepare and cook dishes in strict compliance with food safety and health regulations, ensuring the highest quality and hygiene standards are maintained.
Assist in onboarding, training, and supervising new team members, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative, efficient work environment.
Monitoring and enforcing sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including Occupational Health and Safety (WHS) and HACCP.

To be considered for this role, you should

Preferably hold Certificates III & IV in Commercial Cookery from Australia
A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Cook/Chef in a comparable cuisine
Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (WHS) standards and HACCP regulations
Strong ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment
Excellent communication skills enabling efficient interaction with colleagues, management and customers
