The German Bakehouse is looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team!
Immediate start.
This is a casual position offering 3-5 days per week, Monday-Friday.
Location- 1/54 Junction Drive, Coolum Beach, 4573
Your duties include:
-Prepare and decorate pastries or cakes with glazes, icings, buttercream, fillings etc.
-Preparing custom made pastries/cakes for orders.
-Preparing doughs for different products, eg; danish, strudel, pies, sausage rolls.
-Prepare, cook and bake savoury items such as sausage rolls, pies and quiches. Ensure cleanliness of the bakery.
To be considered for this role, you will need to:
-Have a passion for pastry.
-Have previous experience in a similar role.
-Have knowledge of all bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, sheeter etc. Have understanding of kitchen health and safety, and food safety principles.
-Have a positive attitude and love working in a team environment.
