Build your career across Accounts & Payroll

BET Care Group is looking for a motivated Accounts & Payroll Officer to join our Finance team in a part-time position (0.6 FTE).
This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years' experience in accounts, payroll or bookkeeping who is ready to take the next step and broaden their skills.
Working alongside our Finance team, you'll gain hands-on experience across fortnightly payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations and NDIS billing within a growing care organisation.

What you'll be doing

Assist with fortnightly payroll processing and timesheet reviews.
Maintain accurate payroll records and process approved payroll changes.
Assist with payroll enquiries and investigate pay discrepancies.
Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
Prepare invoices and process supplier payments.
Complete bank, supplier and account reconciliations.
Assist with superannuation processing and payroll reconciliations.
Process and reconcile NDIS, DVA, TAC and Plan Managed claims.
Follow up rejected claims, billing discrepancies and outstanding accounts.
Assist with month-end processes and financial reporting.
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Provide general accounts and finance administration support.

What we're looking for

You'll be someone who enjoys working with numbers, has a great eye for detail and is keen to develop your career across both accounts and payroll.
You'll ideally have:

1-2 years' experience in accounts, payroll, bookkeeping or a similar finance role.
Some practical experience with payroll processing.
Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and reconciliations.
A relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping or Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
Good Microsoft Excel skills and confidence learning new systems.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a professional approach.
The ability to handle confidential employee and financial information appropriately.

Experience with Xero, MYOB, Deputy, SCHADS Award payroll or NDIS billing would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
