We are seeking a Finance Officer to support the day-to-day operations of our Finance team and assist with maintaining accurate financial records, payroll and financial reporting.
This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
About the Role
As a Finance Officer, you will provide support to the Finance Manager and assist with a range of financial and administrative tasks. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records and ensure financial processes comply with relevant regulations and organisational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Reconcile bank statements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist with payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Support the preparation of financial reports
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
About You
You are organised, reliable and detail-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
Essential Criteria
- Certificate IV, Diploma or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, Business Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Minimum of two years' experience in a finance, accounts, payroll or bookkeeping role
- Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations and general bookkeeping
- Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero or MYOB
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement when handling sensitive financial and employee information
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, quality assurance and compliance with organisational - policies and procedures
