Brillitude Learning is a premium online tutoring company supporting NSW primary and high school students in Mathematics. We don't just help students keep up — we build deep mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the kind of confidence that sets students apart.

We are building a small, high-quality team of dedicated tutors who care about student outcomes and take pride in delivering excellent lessons. This is an opportunity to join a structured, supportive, and growing education business at an exciting early stage.

About the role:

We are looking for multiple passionate and capable Mathematics tutors to deliver engaging online sessions to NSW Year 5 and Year 6 students in small groups and 1:1 settings.

All sessions are conducted online via our learning platform. You will work with structured lesson materials and receive full onboarding support to ensure consistency and quality across the team.

This is a flexible, casual role — ideal for high-achieving university students, recent graduates, or qualified teachers looking to contribute meaningfully outside of traditional classroom settings.

What you'll do:

Deliver live online Mathematics tutoring sessions (groups and/or 1:1)
Follow structured lesson plans and learning frameworks provided
Build positive, encouraging relationships with students and families
Provide brief session notes and progress updates after each class
Participate in tutor onboarding, training, and periodic team check-ins
Uphold Brillitude Learning's standards for quality, punctuality, and professionalism

Essential Requirements

High ATAR achieved at HSC (completed in Australia) — strong academic performance is a must
Currently enrolled or finished a university degree OR holding a teaching qualification OR working as a current/former Mathematics teacher (in Australia)
Strong Mathematics ability at Year 5–10 level (NSW syllabus) and above
Excellent communication skills — able to explain concepts clearly and patiently to primary school students
Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional environment for online sessions
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) — NSW or national equivalent — or willingness and eligibility to obtain one before commencing
Current National Police Check — or willingness and eligibility to obtain one before commencing
Australian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work rights

Highly desirable

Attended a NSW Selective High School
Previous tutoring experience (formal or informal)
Familiarity with the NSW Mathematics curriculum for primary or junior secondary
Experience working with primary school-aged children

Working conditions

Fully remote — work from home or anywhere in Australia
