Mathematics Pointt is a growing education business supporting Victorian students through high-quality tutoring and academic mentoring. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary School English Tutor to join our team on an immediate basis.
Position Details

- $40–$50 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
- Minimum availability of 5–6 hours per week
About the Role
You will work with secondary school students (Years 7–12) to improve their English skills, confidence and academic performance.
Areas may include:
- Reading comprehension
- Essay writing
- Text response
- Language analysis
- Grammar and vocabulary development
- Creative and persuasive writing
- Victorian Curriculum English
- VCE English preparation
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of English tutoring or teaching experience.
- Strong understanding of Victorian Secondary School English.
- Ability to build rapport with students and explain concepts clearly.
- Professional, reliable and well organised.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong academic results in English at school and/or university.
Qualifications
- Applicants should be either:
A VIT-registered teacher; OR
- A high-achieving university student with a strong academic background in English, Literature, Education, Humanities, Arts, Law or a related discipline and a minimum of 2 years tutoring experience.
VIT registration will be highly regarded but is not essential.
