Kanmidokoro Kamakura Australia Pty Ltd is the exclusive Australian representative of the iconic Japanese dessert brand Kamakura Warabimochi. Trading as both Kanmidokoro Kamakura and Warabimochi Kamakura, we specialise in delivering premium, authentic confectionery to the Australian market.

Having successfully established four outlets in Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney, we combine strategic retail placement with immersive brand promotion. Our commitment to product integrity and sustainable growth has positioned us as a rising force in Australia's high-end dessert industry, driving both brand awareness and market share.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales and Marketing Manager to lead the company's sales growth, brand development and marketing expansion strategies across Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies, setting sales objectives, strengthening brand positioning, expanding customer channels, building strategic partnerships and enhancing the company’s market presence and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies, establish sales objectives and performance targets to drive revenue growth, increase market share and strengthen customer loyalty in the Australian market.

2. Direct and coordinate sales activities across multiplechannels to maximise customer acquisition, improve sales performance and identify new business opportunities.

3. Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, customer segments and business partnerships to support marketexpansion and sustainable business growth.

4. Develop and execute brand positioning, advertising and promotional strategies to enhance brand awareness and customer engagement.

5. Conduct market research, competitor analysis and customer insights to support pricing strategies, product positioning and sales and marketing decision-making.

6. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, retail partners and key stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty and long-term commercial opportunities.

7. Monitor and evaluate sales performance, marketing campaigns and market outcomes, preparing reports and recommendations to improve effectiveness and achievebusiness objectives.

8. Lead sales and marketing activities, coordinate internal teams and external resources, and ensure marketing initiatives align with company objectives and overall growth strategies.

Requirements

1. A diploma or higher qualification in Marketing, Business Management, Commerce, or a related field.

2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales and marketing management role. Experience in the food and beverage or consumer goods industries is highly regarded.

3. Proven leadership capability with experience managing sales and marketing teams and coordinating cross-functional business activities.

4. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies that drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and brand development.

5. Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

6. Ability to develop and communicate effective value propositions, pricing strategies and promotional initiatives aligned with business objectives.

7. Experience in marketing research, data analysis and performance evaluation to support informed sales and marketing decisions.
