Full Job Description

At McAuley, we support women and children who have experienced family violence and homelessness to reclaim control of their lives. Through a holistic range of services - including accommodation, legal, health, recreation, and social support - we empower women to rebuild their futures with increased safety, stability, economic capability, and overall wellbeing.

An opportunity is available, for a Residential House Supervisor to lead a team supporting women and children escaping family violence, creating a safe, welcoming and trauma-informed refuge where recovery and healing can begin.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role, you will:

Oversee the day-to-day management of the refuge, ensuring a safe, secure and well-maintained environment. You'll coordinate referrals and intake, manage occupancy, maintain accurate records, and lead responses to risk, crisis situations and complex client needs.
Lead trauma-informed, culturally safe and child-focused responses, supporting staff to manage risk and deliver best-practice family violence support.
Lead a team delivering high-quality support that empowers residents to rebuild their lives, strengthen independence and achieve their recovery goals, while ensuring service delivery aligns with best-practice standards.
Coach and supervise staff, manage rosters and reporting, and drive service excellence to achieve strong outcomes for residents.

We are currently recruiting 1 x Full-time ongoing role, based in the Western Suburbs.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Knowledge of family violence, homelessness and/or mental health.
Relevant qualification and/or experience in social work, community services or a related field, meeting family violence practitioner requirements.
Knowledge of family violence and homelessness, including MARAM, the Family Violence Protection Act and Child Safe Standards.
Proven leadership experience, including staff supervision and development.
Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience leading program improvements and change initiatives.
Knowledge of the community services sector and key stakeholders, including DFFH and Mental Health services.
