Working with AMPS

AMPS is a mining engineering and geology consultancy specialising in operational support, both onsite and remotely. Our mission at AMPS is to improve the professional capabilities in the resources industry for positive and lasting change.

Role description

We have several roles across Australia assisting clients with on-site engineering requirements in the following:

Drill and blast design/production engineering/design engineering
Mine planning and scheduling (daily to LOM/tactical)
Open Pit Mine Design, as well as site layouts, dumps, road networks
Mining infrastructure and project management
Specialised mining improvement projects
Mentoring, training, and upskilling technical staff

There are a number of options for working, with FIFO and DIDO options.

About you

Degree-qualified Mining Engineer
Passionate about learning new technical skills and a keen interest in improving your knowledge
Demonstrated understanding of mine planning, scheduling and production
4+ years of operational experience
A strong commitment to quality and safety in the workplace
A great communicator and well-developed interpersonal skills
A current Australian manual driver’s license
Exposure and experience with mine design and planning software (preferably Vulcan, Deswik and/or Alastri). Whittle, Haul Sim, Talpac experience will be considered favourably.
A current Australian manual driver’s license
National Police clearance
