Introduction:
The position exists to operate mobile plant and ancillary mining production equipment in accordance with ConsMin guidelines, systems and processes.
The incumbent will safely, productively, and cost-effectively contribute to the daily operations of the Load and Haul team.
Description:
Role Responsibilities:
- Assist loader operators to load dump trucks maintaining optimal cycle times
- Support all Load and Haul activities in the preparation work for drill patterns, clearances of new areas and maintaining all infrastructure such as haul road intersections, waste dumps and ROM pads.
- Input production data onto daily production sheets for reporting back to Load and Haul Supervisor
- Maintain expected standards of housekeeping in all work areas
- Conduct machinery pre-starts on your allocated machinery to identify any existing faults or hazards
- Operate your allocated machine within the machine specifications and site requirements
- Participation in all training and development opportunities
- Make use of Fleet Management System that is appropriate to the machine you are operating
- Demonstrate an operational understanding of all mobile plant and ancillary mining equipment
- Demonstrate an operational understanding of load and haul activities
Ensure adherence to environmental responsibilities
Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested by your manager in line with your skills, experience and competency level.

Qualifications, Experience & Competencies
Required:
Minimum C Class Drivers’ Licence
3+ years’ experience operating open pit production mining machinery
Desired:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Certificate II or Certificate III in RII surface extraction
Applied First Aid Certificate HLTAID003
Experience using fleet management systems
