The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Capability Advisor to join our Capability team at Duketon Operations. Reporting to the Capability Superintendent, this site-based role plays a key part in building workforce capability through the coordination, delivery and continuous improvement of behavioural skills programs, leadership development initiatives and workforce development activities across site.
Working closely with operational leaders, Health and Safety and People and Capability teams, you will help strengthen frontline leadership capability, support psychosocial safety learning initiatives and coordinate Early Careers programs. You will also contribute to the delivery and administration of core site training activities, ensuring our workforce remains capable, compliant and equipped for success
This is a FIFO role, working on an 8:6 roster ex-Perth.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Coordinate and deliver behavioural capability, workforce development and leadership programs across site
Support frontline leaders through coaching, learning initiatives and psychosocial safety programs
Coordinate and oversee Early Careers programs, including apprentices, graduates, trainees and vacation students
Deliver and administer site training activities including inductions, orientations, VOCs and safety awareness programs
Maintain training records, learning systems, schedules and compliance documentation
Monitor training participation, learning outcomes and program effectiveness, providing reporting and recommendations for improvement
Build effective relationships with operational leaders, People & Capability, Health & Safety teams and external providers to support workforce capability outcome
Promote a culture of learning, continuous improvement, safe behaviours and values-led performance across site
Skills and Experiences:
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Experience coordinating and delivering site-based training programs, including inductions, VOCs or similar operational learning activities
Experience delivering behavioural capability, leadership, workforce development or Early Careers programs within an operational environment
Strong facilitation, presentation, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills
A practical understanding of psychosocial safety and positive workplace culture initiatives
Demonstrated ability to coordinate programs, maintain training records and monitor learning outcomes
Strong organisational, administration and reporting skills
The ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business
