Description & Requirements

From the warehouse floor to the open road, our seasonal team keep everything moving. Join us during our busiest time of the year and be part of a supportive team delivering for every Australian. It’s hands-on, meaningful work and a great foot in the door with an iconic business; a place where you can belong, learn and grow your career.

Seasonal team members generally commence across October and November and depending on parcel volume, assisting us to deliver until around Christmas.

Your roster

We have opportunities located at our Oakleigh and Mulgrave facilities, with a range of early morning and overnight rosters, including:

Monday to Friday, 2:00am - 8:30am - Oakleigh
Monday to Friday, 4:00am - 10:30am - Oakleigh
Monday to Friday, 5:00am - 11:30am - Oakleigh
Sunday to Thursday, 11:00pm - 5:30am - Oakleigh
Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 11:00am - Mulgrave

You’ll be paid

Seasonal Forklift Drivers (21 years or older) are paid $35.83 per hour, including casual loading, plus 12% superannuation
Junior rates apply to applicants under 21 years old
Some roles may also attract penalty rates for overtime, evening, and weekend work
12% superannuation rate

You’ll be

Using a Forklift, loading and unloading mail from mail bags, trays, containers and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)
Sorting parcels and mail (manually or machine-assisted) with the use of scanners
Working across sophisticated processing equipment and lines
Operating and using load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers whilst cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facility

About you

You hold a valid LF Forklift License
You enjoy a physical role, can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly, have a great memory and attention to detail
You're safety conscious and able to safely operate equipment such as conveyors, loading/lifting devices including pallet jacks to load and unload parcels from trucks and vans
You enjoy a fast paced environment where compliance checks are required
You’re comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol products
