We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Trades Assistant to join our team.
This is a varied role working across our pergola installation and trailer manufacturing businesses, so we need someone who is practical, hardworking and happy to get involved in different types of work.
Duties will include:
- Operating a forklift to load, unload and move materials
- Assisting with pergola installations on site
- Helping prepare pergola components and materials for upcoming jobs
- Assisting with trailer assembly, fit-outs and general workshop duties
- Using hand and power tools
- Loading and unloading trailers, aluminium and other materials
- General warehouse and workshop duties
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
- Assisting the team wherever required
What we are looking for:
- Current Forklift Licence (LF) – Essential
- Current Australian driver's licence
- White Card preferred
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable and punctual
- Good work ethic and willingness to learn
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable working both in the workshop and out on installation sites
Experience in construction, pergola installation, fabrication, trailers, aluminium products or a similar trade environment would be highly regarded.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants a varied role rather than doing the same task every day.
One day you may be helping install a pergola at a customer's property, and the next you could be in the workshop assisting with trailers, preparing materials or operating the forklift.
