The Position
Reporting to the General Manager and Warehouse Manager, we are seeking a proactive warehouse picker/packer to join the team at our Reservoir head office.
This is a casual role, 2-3 days per week with opportunity to grow to a full-time role.
Key responsibilities in this position include:
- Accurately pick items from shelves or storage areas based on customer orders or pick lists.
- Pack items securely using appropriate methods and materials to prevent damage during shipping.
- Label and seal packages correctly.
- Assist in stock control by counting and recording inventory levels.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages.
- Inspect products for defects, damage, or expiration before packing.
- Ensure the right items and quantities are selected.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and handheld scanners.
- Keep the picking and packing stations clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Organize orders for shipment, ensuring correct documentation is included (e.g., invoices, delivery notes).
- Work with supervisors and team members to meet daily targets and resolve order issues.
- Liaising with freight companies.
- Forklifting pallets.
Key Criteria
- Capable of standing for long periods, lifting heavy items, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook applications).
- Possesses a high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
- Efficient at completing tasks within set deadlines and managing workloads.
- Able to read order sheets, labels, and follow written instructions; comfortable with basic counting and calculations.
- Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of and commitment to safe working practices in a warehouse setting.
- Strong attention to detail.
- At least two years experience in a similar role essential.
- Forklift licence essential.
- Driver's licence essential.
- HR licence preferred
- Permanent residency/right to work in Australia essential.
