We are a growing Asian food importer and distributor located in Dandenong, VIC. We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to join our warehouse to work in a variety and autonomy in a busy and often demanding work environment.
Your duties:
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth warehouse operations under the guidance of warehouse supervisors and the manager.
- Assist supervisors and the manager in coordinating tasks both within the department and across other departments.
- Serve as a back-up for other warehouse functions such as distribution, receiving, and inventory management.
- Provide peer training and set an example for all staff and colleagues.
Distribution:
- Be responsible for the dispatch function, including organizing deliveries, coordinating runs and dispatch schedules, and allocating transport workflows.
- Ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient dispatch of goods, as well as transport arrangements, in line with company expectations and standard operating procedures.
- Organize pickups for both internal and external customers.
- Verify prepared orders against picking slips to ensure the correct products are ready for delivery (physically checking pallets).
- Ensure orders are assembled and delivered in a professional and responsible manner within the required turnaround time.
Receiving:
- Receive goods and verify them against delivery dockets.
- Apply all necessary Quality Control procedures in your role.
- Document and report any damages or discrepancies in goods to the Warehouse Manager.
- Catalogue or label items with appropriate storage details.
- Handle returned and damaged goods according to company policy.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage areas as scheduled.
Inventory Management:
- Perform stocktakes and cycle count duties.
- Generate inventory report such as cycle count report, seafood report, short-date and expiry-date report etc.
Data Entry and General Administration:
- Perform various data entry tasks according to established departmental procedures, including but not limited to sales orders, runsheets, and delivery instructions.
- Provide clerical and administrative support for the department, including filing, maintaining records and files, and other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Receive and verify cash payments from customers and delivery drivers returning from their daily runs.
Other Duties:
- Adhere to OH&S rules and regulations as outlined in the company’s OH&S policy.
- Perform other duties that may fall outside of your regular responsibilities when required or instructed by the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor.
Skills Required:
- 2 years in a similar position
- Physical fitness with ability to perform medium-heavy physical work
- Must be a team player

- Basic literacy and numerical skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
