DataBench is a Brisbane founded and based software start-up company, primarily focused on product development. It is a dynamic environment, where no two days are the same and therefore attracts dedicated and creative team members who are onboard for the work and commitment.

We are building the company around our next product release and hiring to fill a key Full-Time role based around a technical development and release roadmap that extends over the next several years.

The Social Media and Content Manager position is crucial in taking a new and exciting privacy-by-design platform to a global market.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Social Media and Content Manager, you will develop, produce and publish content that broadens the DataBench (and products) local and global brand awareness, promoting our privacy-by-design platforms into current and new markets.

Working across social media, digital and multimedia platforms, you will manage our content calendar and publishing schedules, driving engagement, increasing reach and product adoption. With ownership for the communication process, from concept and scripting through to finished creative and campaign collateral – you will be across all content, campaigns and activities that we publish.

The role requires someone who is not only dynamic and highly creative but is confident in taking responsibility for the creation and delivery of our content and publication campaigns, in collaboration with our CMO.

You will optimise content for SEO and organic visibility, track engagement, measure reach, drive impressions and click-throughs across our social media channels and website, and use those insights to shape the marketing calendar, and brand focus. Content decisions at DataBench are made on the data insights and analytics.

It is important to note we are launching into a new, global market with relatively low market presence, so you must appreciate the need to generate new creative content, pushing into new markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation and Ownership: Taking full creative ownership of our written, video and visual content, including Blog articles, social posts, video and campaign collateral, whilst driving the content strategy, calendar and publishing schedules across each channel.
SEO and Audience Growth: Optimising our website SEO and audience engagement through Blog articles, website copy and social content, applying keyword strategy across our digital channels, and recommending updates.
Analytics, Insights and Performance: Analysing social media metrics, website analytics and campaign data — engagement, reach, impressions and click-throughs — and monitoring how our content assets drive those results.
Platform Management and Growth: Managing and growing our presence across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok, including day-to-day community engagement, alongside website content in WordPress.
Campaigns and Global Market Entry: Developing bold marketing campaigns that promote our products and services, grow our audience, build brand awareness and increase sales — including content-led launches into new global market.

IS THIS YOU?

Looking for a full creative ownership role where you think and act in creative autonomous ways.
Min 2+ years proven experience of managing multimedia platforms – Mandatory req.
Tertiary degree in marketing, communications, or closely related field. – Mandatory req.
Knowledge and experience in creating content including image selections and editing – Mandatory req.
Creative lateral thinker on content for a global market.
Analytical mindset.
Great communication skills.
Experience in WordPress or other related web apps/software.

Experience with digital platforms, including but not limited to WordPress, Websites, LinkedIn, Google.
Excellent conversationalist and with broad communication skills.
A sense of urgency, and professionalism.
Interest in keeping up with social media trends is highly beneficial.
