Role Title: Account Manager

Reports to: Sales Manager - APAC

Region: AU

Location: Melbourne - On site

Salary: From $60,000.00 basic pa, plus commission $75,000.00 OTE

Terms: Permanent full time following successful probation

One World Group provides technology equipment and services for corporate and business events. This includes computers, tablets, AV, Wi-Fi and event staffing, supporting clients across a range of events and locations.

The Account Manager sits within the Sales team in Australia and works with existing and prospective clients, helping them find the right equipment and services for their events. The role also works closely with colleagues across the wider One World Group to make sure projects are handed over clearly and can be delivered as agreed.

The environment can be busy, with several opportunities and events being managed at the same time. Client requirements can also change at short notice, so staying organised and keeping people updated is an important part of the job.

The Role

This role is responsible for generating sales, developing existing client accounts and bringing in new business for One World Group.

You’ll manage opportunities from the initial enquiry through to closing the deal, making sure clients receive equipment and services that fit their event and technology requirements. You’ll spend time speaking with existing clients, following up new enquiries, researching prospective customers and keeping your sales pipeline up to date.

You’ll work closely with the Sales Manager and teams across One World Group, including operations and delivery, to make sure projects are handed over clearly and can be delivered as agreed.

This role would suit someone with B2B sales or account management experience who is comfortable picking up the phone, building client relationships and actively looking for new opportunities.

What you’ll be doing…..

Manage existing client accounts and maintain regular contact to encourage repeat business.
Identify opportunities to increase client spend by understanding their requirements and identifying additional equipment or services they may need.
Research and contact prospective clients to generate new business opportunities.
Respond to inbound enquiries and take opportunities through the sales process from initial enquiry to confirmed order.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective and existing business.
Recommend suitable IT and event technology equipment and services based on client requirements.
Meet or exceed individual sales targets and take responsibility for your sales activity and results.
Review account performance and identify opportunities for upselling and further account development.
Keep CRM records, pipeline information and sales forecasts accurate and up to date.
Research prospective clients, industry activity and competitor activity to identify potential sales opportunities.
Work closely with operations and delivery teams across One World Group to make sure sold projects are clearly handed over and can be delivered as agreed.
Provide regular updates and reporting on sales activity, pipeline and performance.

You pay attention to detail, particularly when confirming client requirements and handing projects over to delivery teams.
You remain calm when priorities change or requirements move at short notice.
You work well with colleagues across Sales, Operations and Delivery and are willing to get involved to help get the job done.

Experience we are looking for …..

2–3+ years’ experience in sales, account management or a similar B2B role.
Experience managing a sales pipeline and taking opportunities through to close.
Experience using a CRM system such as Salesforce.
Strong IT literacy and a good understanding of technology products.
Experience with telephone-based sales and client communication.
Experience producing or working with sales reports and basic data analysis.
IT or technology sales experience is preferred.
Events industry experience would be useful but is not essential.
A diploma or degree is preferred but not essential.

Additional Information …..

This is an on-site, permanent full-time position based in Melbourne.
The role supports a global events operation, so some flexibility may be required around changing event requirements and schedules.
The role involves regular communication with clients and close coordination with teams across One World Group.
The successful candidate will be expected to represent One World Group professionally when dealing with clients, partners and colleagues.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
