Full Job Description

Precision Logic & Controls is looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Office & Operations Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our Melbourne office.

This is an ideal opportunity for a university student, recent graduate or someone at the beginning of their career who wants practical experience across office administration, accounts support, logistics and business operations.

This is not a role where you will simply observe from the sidelines. You will become an important part of our daily operations and will be trusted with making sure the office is organised, deliveries and dispatches are handled properly, administrative tasks are followed through, and the team has what it needs to start the day.

About the Role

Working Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, you will help keep the PLC office organised and running smoothly.

A major part of your role will be taking ownership of routine tasks and following them through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

Office & Administration

· Help open and prepare the office each morning.

· Ensure office and reception areas are organised and ready for the day.

· Assist with general office administration.

· Maintain organised electronic and physical records.

· Print, scan, label and file documents as required.

· Maintain office supplies and identify items that need replenishing.

· Assist with data entry, spreadsheets and system updates.

· Support the wider team with routine administrative tasks.

Deliveries, Packing & Dispatch

· Receive incoming deliveries and parcels.

· Check deliveries and ensure they reach the correct team member.

· Prepare customer orders and packages for dispatch.

· Pack goods carefully and accurately.

· Print shipping documentation and courier labels.

· Arrange and coordinate courier collections.

· Track outgoing deliveries.

· Follow up delayed or missing shipments.

· Maintain accurate records of deliveries and dispatches.

· Escalate delivery problems when required.

Accounts Administration

· Assist with basic invoice and accounts administration.

· Follow up outstanding customer invoices using established PLC processes.

· Assist with account and payment reconciliations.

· Maintain accurate records of invoice follow-ups.

· Assist with checking supplier documentation and invoices.

· Identify discrepancies and escalate them to the appropriate team member.

· Help ensure administrative and accounts tasks do not remain outstanding.

Hours

Monday to Friday (All 5 days in Office)

9:00 am – 1:00 pm

20 hours per week

Because this position assists with the daily opening and operation of the office, consistent attendance and punctuality are essential.

About You

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organised and genuinely enjoys getting things done.

You do not need extensive previous experience. We are more interested in your attitude, reliability and ability to learn.

You will ideally be someone who:

· Is punctual and highly reliable (non-negotiable)

· Is organised and pays attention to detail.

· Takes ownership of tasks rather than waiting to be reminded.

· Follows things through until they are completed.

· Is comfortable using computers, email and Microsoft Office.

· Is confident working with spreadsheets and numbers.

· Communicates professionally with customers, suppliers and couriers.

· Is comfortable making follow-up phone calls and sending professional emails.

· Can work independently once trained.

· Is willing to help with both office administration and hands-on tasks such as packing

and labelling.

· Can identify when something is wrong and knows when to ask for help.

· Has a positive and professional attitude.

Previous office, administration, accounts, logistics, retail or customer service experience would be helpful but is not essential.

Pay: $24.00 – $35.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
