About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Officer to provide support and care for individuals in our residential facility. This role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day assistance with personal care, hygiene, and daily living activities.
Support clients in managing routines, meal preparation, and household tasks.
Administer medication in line with care plans and company policies.
Implement and follow personalized care plans developed in collaboration with clients, families, and health professionals.
Monitor client progress and provide feedback for care plan reviews.
Encourage skill development and independence in line with NDIS goals.
Support clients in participating in social, recreational, and community activities.
Facilitate outings, appointments, and engagement with community resources.
Promote inclusion, dignity, and respect at all times.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in residential settings.
Adhere to NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and Care Companion Queensland’s policies.
Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies, and behavioral challenges in a professional manner.

Skills & Experience:

· Previous experience in aged care, disability, or community services preferred

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a focus on resident wellbeing

· Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings

· Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training
