Join a specialised Drug Health team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients experiencing drug and alcohol related health issues. As a Drug & Alcohol Hospital Consultation Liaison Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in improving health outcomes by providing expert clinical assessment, consultation and care coordination across Campbelltown Hospital.

Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for patients with drug and alcohol related conditions.
Partner with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement person-centred care and treatment plans.
Build the capability of healthcare professionals through specialist consultation and clinical liaison support.
Facilitate effective discharge planning and connections to ongoing treatment and community-based support services.
Contribute to improved patient outcomes by delivering compassionate, recovery-oriented care within an integrated model of care.

Are You the Right Fit?
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated nurse who is passionate about supporting individuals affected by substance use disorders and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Demonstrated clinical experience in drug and alcohol, mental health, emergency, acute care or a related clinical setting.
Strong assessment, clinical decision-making and care coordination skills, with the ability to manage complex presentations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with specialist and hospital-based services.
Commitment to delivering evidence-based, recovery-oriented care and achieving positive outcomes for patients experiencing drug and alcohol related health issues

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Describe your recent clinical experience working with patients experiencing drug and alcohol, mental health, emergency, or other complex health presentations. How has this experience prepared you to assess, manage and coordinate care for patients with substance use disorders in an acute hospital setting?
Provide an example of a time you worked collaboratively with patients, families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement a patient-centred care plan. What was your approach, and what was the outcome?
Tell us about a situation where you identified a clinical risk, complex care issue or opportunity for improvement in your workplace. How did you use critical thinking and evidence-based practice to address the issue, and what was the result?
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P. Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
