Full Job Description

A vacancy currently exists in the Office of Executive Director for a Client Service Officer at our 1 William Street, Brisbane office.

OIR contributes to the government's strategic objectives in the areas of workplace health and safety, electrical safety, workers' compensation, industrial relations and labour hire regulation.

The Electrical Safety Office seek to improve electrical safety in the home and workplace through regulatory and policy frameworks and the provision of evidenced-based services and advice.

As a Client Service Officer within the Office of Executive Director, you will be part of an efficient flexible and responsive team that supports the work that strives to keep all Queenslanders safe around electricity. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Provide high-quality administrative support to the Office of the Executive Director, Commissioner for Electrical Safety, Board Services and Compliance teams based at 1 William Street, Brisbane City.
- Research and analyse information/data to provide advice that contributes to the organisational team goals.
- Active participate in monitoring, co-ordinating and maintaining procedures and systems to ensure effective governance practices are maintained.
- Effectively co-ordinate, engage and collaborate with staff, internal and external stakeholders and other government agencies to progress ESO projects and programs.
- Be an effective team member promoting a positive culture supporting equity, antidiscrimination, OHS, ethical behaviour and act in accordance with the QPS legislative framework and Code of Conduct.
- Undertake other tasks as directed.

To be successful in this role you will need:
- Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise, schedule and perform work to meet deadlines, commitments and service level agreements using initiative with minimal supervision;
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computer systems, software packages and web-based technologies including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems.
- Demonstrated written communication skills to be able to assist in the preparation of correspondence.
- Demonstrated well developed communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders.
- Show proven ability to work as part of a team and to function effectively.

This role will challenge and develop your ability to communicate, collaborate, coordinate and engage with staff and stakeholders. Your work assists the Electrical Safety Office in partnering and educating the community in electrical safety matters to ensure compliance within a regulatory framework.
