About Us

Buildtek Construction Services Pty Ltd is a Western Australian construction company specialising in residential and commercial construction, renovations, project coordination and construction support services throughout Perth and surrounding areas.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Civil Engineering Technician to join our team and support the successful planning and delivery of a range of construction projects.

About the Role

Working closely with the Director, project managers, site supervisors and subcontractors, you will provide technical support throughout the planning, coordination and delivery of residential and commercial construction projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company where you will contribute to a variety of projects while developing your technical and professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the planning and coordination of residential and commercial construction projects.
Prepare and update technical sketches, drawings and construction documentation.
Undertake site measurements and assist with quantity take-offs and material calculations.
Collect, record and analyse site data to support project planning and delivery.
Assist with estimating quantities and costs of construction materials and labour.
Review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
Assist with field inspections and basic testing of construction materials.
Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress.
Prepare technical reports, project documentation and site records.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and project stakeholders.
Assist with project scheduling and construction activities.
Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues during project delivery.
Support workplace health and safety requirements across construction sites.
Verify completed works against engineering drawings, specifications and project requirements.
Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A Diploma or higher qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience in residential and/or commercial construction projects.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
A commitment to workplace safety, quality and professional standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project or similar construction software will be highly regarded.
