A specialist flooring company is seeking an Epoxy Flooring Labourer to join our team working across residential, commercial and industrial flooring projects throughout Perth.
This is a hands-on role suitable for someone with basic or beginner-level flooring skills who is willing to learn and develop their experience in epoxy flooring and concrete floor preparation.
Previous experience in epoxy flooring, concrete preparation, construction, painting, coatings or a similar trade environment is highly regarded but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced epoxy applicators with flooring installations.
- Carry out concrete floor preparation under supervision.
- Assist with grinding, vacuuming, cleaning and preparing floor surfaces.
- Mix epoxy products and other materials according to instructions.
- Apply coatings using rollers and other application tools.
- Assist with primers, epoxy coatings, flake systems and topcoats.
- Assist with minor floor repairs, patching and crack preparation.
- Mask and protect walls, fixtures and surrounding surfaces.
- Move and set up flooring equipment, tools and materials.
- Maintain clean and organised work areas.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
- Follow instructions and established application procedures.
- Work as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.
Requirements
- Some practical or construction-related experience preferred.
- Previous epoxy flooring or floor preparation experience is highly regarded.
- Basic experience with rolling, mixing coatings or using power tools is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn concrete grinding and mechanical floor preparation.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully, particularly when mixing and applying flooring products.
- Good attention to detail.
- Physically fit and comfortable performing manual work.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team.
- Good attitude towards safety, quality and keeping the workplace organised.
- Current Australian driver's licence preferred.
- Australian work rights.
You do not need to be an experienced epoxy applicator for this position. We are looking for someone practical and reliable who already has some basic hands-on ability and is interested in developing further skills in epoxy flooring and concrete preparation.
The right person will receive on-the-job training and supervision from experienced flooring applicators, with the opportunity to develop into a more skilled epoxy flooring role.
Remuneration will be based on existing skills and experience.
