Grill Cook – Bondi Pizza ParramattaPosition Overview

As a Grill Cook at Bondi Pizza Parramatta, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking grilled menu items to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional food experiences by ensuring all grill items are cooked correctly, efficiently, and in line with Bondi Pizza recipes and procedures.

You will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth service flow, uphold food safety standards, and ensure every dish leaving the kitchen meets guest expectations.

Key ResponsibilitiesGrill Operations & Food Preparation

Prepare and cook all grill menu items according to Bondi Pizza recipes and quality standards.
Operate grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure meats, chicken, seafood, and other grilled items are cooked to the correct temperature, texture, and presentation.
Complete daily preparation tasks including portioning, seasoning, marinating, and stocking ingredients.
Maintain consistency in food quality, portion sizes, and plating standards.
Monitor cooking times to ensure food is delivered promptly during service.

Kitchen Operations

Set up and maintain the grill section before, during, and after service.
Ensure all ingredients are prepared, labelled, dated, and available for service.
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient grill station.
Complete cleaning duties, including grill maintenance, equipment cleaning, and workstation organisation.
Assist with kitchen opening and closing procedures.
Communicate stock shortages, equipment issues, and operational concerns to the Kitchen Manager.

Food Safety & Quality Standards

Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures.
Maintain correct food handling practices, including temperature checks, storage, and allergen awareness.
Ensure all products are handled safely and stored correctly.
Minimise food wastage through proper preparation, portion control, and stock rotation.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen.

Teamwork & Service Support

Work collaboratively with chefs, pizza cooks, kitchen hands, and front-of-house team members.
Communicate effectively during busy service periods to ensure smooth food delivery.
Support other kitchen sections when required.
Follow instructions from the Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, and Supervisors.
Contribute to a positive, respectful, and professional kitchen culture.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience as a grill cook, line cook, or chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred.
Experience handling grills, chargrills, fryers, and kitchen equipment is advantageous.
Good understanding of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen procedures.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
