We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and efficient Kitchen Hand to support our kitchen team and help keep daily operations running smoothly. The role involves food preparation, cleaning, washing dishes and equipment, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting cooks and other team members during busy service periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation and ingredient preparation.
- Wash dishes, utensils, trays, pots and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen benches, floors, walls, sinks and work areas.
- Clean kitchen equipment, including fryers, grills and food preparation areas as directed.
- Empty bins and maintain waste and garbage areas.
- Receive, unpack and correctly store stock and deliveries when required.
- Restock kitchen stations and supplies throughout the shift.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures at all times.
- Follow correct chemical handling and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Keep coolrooms, freezers and storage areas clean and organised.
- Complete opening, closing and cleaning duties as assigned.
- Immediately report equipment faults, hazards, spills or food-safety concerns to management.
- Perform other reasonable kitchen duties as directed by the Kitchen Manager or Store Manager.
Requirements
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a fast-paced team.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Able to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
- Able to safely lift and move kitchen supplies and equipment.
- Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays where required.
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.

Pay: $54,608.32 – $84,332.63 per year
