1. CHEF – Full Time
CHEF_Responsibilities
The Chef will coordinate and supervise daily kitchen activities, allocate duties to staff, and assist with menu planning and development. The role is responsible for helping maintain the restaurant’s standards for food quality, portion consistency, workplace safety, and efficient kitchen operations at all times.
CHEF_Main Duties
Identify work requirements and assign appropriate duties and tasks to the rest of staff members
Organise and coordinate activities of staff
Confer with manager in respect to production and staff controls
Perform the tasks of other staff with cooking procedures
Demonstrate skills and knowledge applicable, and instruct and train staff
Consult staff and resolve grievances
Monitor organisational behaviours of staff with procedures of dishes
Order materials and settle accounts
Develop new menus and recipes
Establish safety gears in place and enforce them
Communicate with customers to the identification of their opinions on its products and services
Manage and direct kitchen operations of the restaurant
Plan menus and advise other staff on sizes of portions and servings
Consult with Managing Director reviewing the budget control including food costs, portion costs and waste cost controls
CHEF_Position Requirements
Diploma in relevant discipline or at least 6 years of relevant work experience
At least 2 years of relevant work experience
Skills & knowledge in use of oriental cooking tools/equipment
2. Cook – Full Time
Responsibilities
Preparing, measuring, portioning, seasoning, flavouring, garnishing, decorating and all methods of cooking food
Main Duties
l check food to ensure quality
l regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
l prepare food for cooking
l cook food by a range of methods (i.e. baking, braising, frying, roasting or steaming)
l divide food into portions and make sure that the food is well presented
l clean food preparation areas and equipment
l store food in temperature-controlled facilities
l receive and store supplies
l make sure kitchen is hygienic and functional
l plan menus and estimate food requirements
l prepare food to meet special dietary requirements
l train and supervise other staff.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
AQF Certificate III in cookery.
At least three years of relevant experience may substitute
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
