Join our team as a Facility Cook with one permanent part-time opportunities at our Georges Forbes House Aged Care Home in Queanbeyan
Shifts available: 1:00pm–6:00pm Sunday, Monday and Tuesday 30 hours per fortnight permanent part-time contract
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents by delivering nutritious meals with care, compassion, and respect

About the Role

As a Facility Cook, you will enable individuals to live well by delivering the nutritional requirements for the residents following the BaptistCare menu and dietary information system. You understand the role food plays in sustenance, enjoyment, and connecting community, and you’ll work to bring this to fruition. You will support the catering operation and team, and in the Chef Manager's absence, you will ensure food production, service standards, and compliance are maintained

We offer a competitive salary based on your previous experience from $30.31 - $34.89/hr + superannuation + penalties + salary packaging.

About You

Experience in leading and coordinating kitchen staff.
Ability to present food attractively and appetizingly.
Sound knowledge of economic food management, ordering, and stocktaking.
Experience in commercial cooking for large numbers.
Ability to work effectively unsupervised.
Effective communication skills (oral and written).
Desire to work with the elderly within our shared values.
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery/ Hospitality or relevant Trade qualifications
