YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Service Coordinator to join our Air & Ocean team at Banksmeadow NSW. In this role, you will manage end-to-end communication and service delivery for a portfolio of air and ocean freight clients. Acting as the key liaison between customers and operational teams, you’ll coordinate status updates, resolve issues, and help deliver consistent, high-quality service throughout the freight lifecycle.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned air and ocean import/export customers
Monitor shipment milestones, resolve delays, and provide proactive updates
Prepare quotes, routing proposals, and track margin and cost-to-serve
Investigate service failures or claims and manage resolution with internal and external parties
Maintain customer SOPs, rate matrices, and KPI dashboards
Support business reviews with data insights and customer reporting
Collaborate with business development and pricing teams to support account retention and growth
Maintain accurate records and support audit and compliance processes.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate has existing customer service experience in freight forwarding together with:

Completion of Year 12 (vocational qualification in logistics desirable)
Proficiency in a freight management system such as CargoWise
Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups)
Familiarity with Incoterms and freight documentation
Strong problem-solving, communication and time-management skills
A willingness to work flexibly, including outside of standard business hours, to meet business or customer requirements (ad-hoc)

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
