Bring the GYG brand to life on the ground, one opening and one activation at a time.
GYG is opening restaurants at pace throughout Australia. The Activation Coordinator provides hands-on coordination and execution support across local area marketing, sponsorship activations, and new restaurant opening (NRO) programs — from creative logistics through to on-the-ground event delivery. Reporting to the Marketing Manager – NRO & Activations, this role keeps the Restaurants & Regions team running at its best.
This role requires flexibility to work weekends and evenings around restaurant openings and activations.
What You'll Do

Coordinate the creative and logistics of State and Local Area Marketing (LAM) initiatives, including agency and stakeholder liaison, creative briefings, artwork approvals, and print production

Coordinate all marketing logistics for new restaurant openings, including opening kits, entertainment, signage, menuboards, and print materials

Attend restaurant openings around Australia and prepare post-opening reports on what worked and what to improve

Support the execution of GYG brand activations, sponsorship activations, and community events on the ground

Assist the Talent Pool program with briefing, rostering, and logistics for activation staff

Help set up and pack down activation sites, ensuring all materials and brand elements are on-brand

Coordinate logistics for GYG events including Franchisee Summits, RM Conferences, and the Day of the Dead national campaign

Manage Menuboard content and Mercado order approvals, and maintain GYG's asset management system

Provide general marketing administrative support, including invoice processing and ad hoc project assistance
What You'll Bring

Tertiary qualifications in marketing, events, communications, or a related field

1–3 years' experience in a marketing coordination, events, or activation role

Experience working with external agencies, suppliers, and vendors

Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines

Experience in hospitality, QSR, or events preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new platforms

A positive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail and initiative

Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel intrastate and interstate

Availability for regular weekend and evening work around restaurant openings and activations
