Work Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

About the Opportunity

Founded over 25 years ago, Synergy is a proudly family-owned property services company specializing in integrated facility services across the commercial and strata property sectors. Due to continued commercial growth, we are seeking a proactive and operationally driven Junior Building Manager to join our Facilities Management team in a permanent, full-time capacity.

Operating from our Parramatta head office, you will serve as a strategic liaison alongside a Senior Building Manager, delivering critical multi-site relief coverage and administrative support across our premium North-West portfolio. This junior-level opportunity is designed for a commercially astute professional who thrives on strategic problem-solving and is motivated to achieve structured career progression within the facility services industry.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will partner with the Senior Building Manager, key internal stakeholders, and external contractors to ensure seamless end-to-end service delivery. Your day-to-day duties will include:

Multi-Site Portfolio Support: Act as a key point of contact across our North West properties, providing essential facilities management support during relief periods.
Site Inspections & Compliance: Conduct thorough on-site building inspections, ensuring all WH&S and compliance standards are strictly met.
Maintenance Management: Oversee Planned and Reactive Maintenance processes, including quoting, scheduling, and managing contractor work orders.
Emergency Response: Act as the key escalation point for your portfolio, participating in an on-call capacity to triage and manage critical after-hours emergencies or building faults
Vendor & Contractor Management: Procure, engage, and manage external contractors, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to strict SLAs/KPIs.
Stakeholder Engagement: Log, respond to, and resolve resident and strata committee requests promptly and professionally.
System Administration: Utilize building management systems and software to manage bookings, track priorities, and maintain accurate site reporting.

About You (The Ideal Candidate)

We are looking for a proactive, commercially astute professional who thrives in a hands-on, field-based environment. To succeed, you will demonstrate:

Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a Strata Building Manager or strata property role.

Attitude & Career Drive: Strong willingness to learn, genuine curiosity to understand building operations, and ambition to progress your career within the industry.

Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using technology and Google Suite. Previous experience with building management software (e.g., MYBOS, BuildingLink, StrataMax) is a bonus, but a strong willingness to learn and be trained is highly valued.

Skills: Highly organized with strong attention to detail, exceptional time-management, and effective communication skills (phone, email, and in-person).

Mandatory Requirements:

Current driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (essential for multi-site coverage).
Current valid National Police Check, or a willingness to undergo and provide one before commencement.
Valid full, unrestricted Australian work rights.
