The Opportunity
As we further develop our Research Strategy, we now have an exciting opportunity for an ICT Project Manager to join our Information Communication Technology team. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for leading a major enterprise system implementation project that aligns with our digital portfolio - including enterprise software implementation and cloud migrations to network infrastructure upgrades, research data platforms and cybersecurity uplift programs.
You will bring discipline, adaptability and genuine passion to every engagement, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and in a way that amplifies research impact and improves the health and wellbeing of children and families. You will navigate complexity with confidence, working alongside researchers, clinicians, Professional Services, IT engineers, vendors and our leadership with equal effectiveness.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery for IT initiatives spanning software, cloud, infrastructure and hybrid environments, applying appropriate methodology based on project type and stakeholder context.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, charters, RACI matrices, risk registers and communication plans tailored to each initiative.
- Manage project budgets, track actuals against forecasts, and provide timely, accurate reporting.
- Ensure cloud, infrastructure and software projects align with enterprise architecture principles and security requirements.
Lead change management activities including impact assessments, training coordination and adoption planning to ensure new technology is embraced and embedded.

Based in our offices within Perth Children’s Hospital in Nedlands, this full-time position will be offered for an 18-month period.
About You
The successful candidate will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in a field such as IT, Project Management, or Business. Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, PMI-ACP or equivalent is highly desirable. You will also demonstrate:
- Demonstrated experience managing IT projects of varying types - including enterprise software delivery, cloud platform migration, network/infrastructure upgrade, and/or a cybersecurity program.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, ServiceNow PPM or similar.
- Strong risk management, scheduling, budgeting and vendor management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and adapt priorities in a dynamic environment.
