NTT Data are seeking an experienced AWS Technical Lead to drive the delivery of enterprise scale cloud remediation programs for an initial 6 month contract.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will guide AWS engineering teams (onshore and offshore) to deliver secure, governed, and operationally sound outcomes across complex AWS environments.
You will work closely with stakeholders across security, architecture, SRE, governance, and delivery to shape remediation strategies, lead technical solutioning, and ensure high-quality execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of AWS remediation across security, networking, IAM, governance, operations, and DevOps
- Provide technical leadership to distributed AWS engineering teams, including offshore resources
- Analyse platform gaps and define practical remediation strategies, implementation approaches, and risk mitigation plans
- Break down remediation work into delivery-ready backlog items (epics, features, user stories, tasks)
- Guide IaC delivery, including review and oversight of CloudFormation and Terraform changes
- Oversee AWS security and governance controls (IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Control Tower, AWS Organizations, SCPs)
- Lead AWS networking remediation (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, WAF, segmentation, peering clean-up)
- Support CI/CD-based infrastructure delivery using Jenkins, GitHub, and ECR
- Facilitate technical workshops and drive decision-making on design, risks, and dependencies
- Ensure remediation outputs are tested, documented, and ready for operational handover
- Manage technical risks, dependencies, and blockers, escalating where required
Key Requirements
- Expert knowledge of AWS core services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS
- Strong Terraform and CloudFormation experience in enterprise environments
- Deep AWS security capability across IAM, encryption, monitoring, and governance
- Advanced scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, AWS CLI)
- Strong AWS networking expertise (VPC, subnets, routing, NACLs, Transit Gateway, WAF)
- Experience with Kubernetes / Amazon EKS and container platforms
- Strong CI/CD and DevOps practices using modern tooling (GitHub, Jenkins, artefact pipelines)
- Experience working in multi-account, governed AWS environments
- Proven ability to lead Agile delivery, guide offshore teams, and translate complex technical challenges into clear remediation plans
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of ownership and focus on delivery outcomes
