Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).

What you'll be doing
Provide optimum sterilisation services of hospital equipment and instruments within the Central Sterilising Service Department reflective of current infection control measures and in accordance with statutory requirements and Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.

About You
You present as a reliable and committed CSSD professional with a clear willingness to build your qualifications, demonstrated through either the completion of your Certificate III in Sterilisation Technology at TAFE or your readiness to obtain it within the required two‑year timeframe. You show a proven ability to perform routine tasks and meet operational demands under routine supervision, maintaining consistency, accuracy and adherence to strict sterilisation standards.

You bring sound computer knowledge and the capacity to learn and navigate programs associated with CSSD functions, supporting efficient workflow and correct documentation. Your attention to detail is evident in the way you approach repetitive tasks, ensuring precision and compliance with infection control procedures.

You work effectively within a seven‑day rotating roster that includes a high proportion of afternoon shifts, demonstrating flexibility, reliability and a strong commitment to service delivery. You contribute positively to the team environment through your steady work ethic, adaptability and focus on maintaining safe, high‑quality sterilisation practices.
