About the role:

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Receptionist/ Administration Officer with experience in the medical/ hospital industry to join us on a part-time basis, minimum 32hrs a fortnight.

Great work/ life balance as it is a Monday to Friday flexible roster, no overnights, no weekends and no public holidays, we are closed over the Christmas/ New Year period.

Duties and responsibilities:

This role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams, as well as liaising with our 3 Support Offices and VMO rooms. You will:

Ensure a high level of patient and visitor care, acting as the first point of contact for the hospital
Ensure all admission and discharge documentation is accurately recorded
Ensure all patient accounts are invoiced, receipted and reconciled
Manage theatre bookings and ensure lists are distributed accordingly
Liaise with health funds and complete checks
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety and excellence across all areas of the hospital

About You:

You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care, and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:

Experience in an administrative role within a medical, healthcare or hospital setting
A high level of computer / technical skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Patient Management Software
Experience in FYDO or SimDay desirable but not essential
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors, staff and other stakeholders
Solid time management, organisational and communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours throughout the Monday to Friday roster
