About the role
CSR is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team based in Wetherill Park.
This is a national role where you'll support the day-to-day coordination of purchasing activities, ensuring the smooth processing of purchase orders, supplier queries and invoice-related matters across the business.
Working closely with suppliers, site stakeholders, Accounts Payable and the broader procurement team, you'll play an important role in supporting business operations while helping drive consistency, governance and continuous improvement across our purchasing function.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with people and coordinating processes. Whether your background is in purchasing, customer service, administration, sales support, logistics, order processing or another operational role, we'll provide the opportunity to develop your career within a growing procurement function.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day purchasing activities in line with company policies and procedures
- Raise and maintain purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Work with suppliers, Accounts Payable and internal stakeholders to resolve purchasing and invoice-related queries
- Provide responsive support to sites and business stakeholders across Australia
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal customers
- Support supplier management activities and preferred supplier compliance
- Assist with procurement optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and system data
- Support governance and compliance activities across the purchasing function
- Provide guidance and support to users on purchasing processes and systems
What you'll bring
- Experience in customer service, administration, purchasing, procurement, sales support, logistics coordination, order processing or a similar role
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- A customer-focused mindset and a commitment to delivering great service
- Confidence working with systems and learning new processes
- The ability to investigate issues, identify solutions and follow through to resolution
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system is advantageous, but not essential
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop within procurement
