Details: The Executive Assistant role provides administrative and executive support to the Electoral Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner. The role ensures the efficient management of communication, office operations, diary scheduling and liaises with stakeholders while exercising professionalism, maintaining confidentiality and discretion, and exercising sound judgement consistently and independently.

As part of a small independent statutory authority, the role requires sound judgement, discretion, adaptability and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a dynamic electoral environment.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

Highly desirable:

Experience in providing administrative assistance to a Senior Executive or similar role.
Experience and ability in providing high-level organisational and office management support, including the ability to exercise initiative, prioritise workloads and meet set deadlines.
Demonstrated experience in records management and correspondence tracking, including an understanding of sound document management practices and records management obligations.
Verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively liaise with a range of stakeholders.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of three months with the possibility of extension up to six months. This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only.

Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.

An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future vacancies over the next 12 months.
