Employment Opportunity
The APS Level 5 Procurement Officer will join a team that provides Grants, Procurement and Financial Framework Policy advice, guidance and support to the Attorney-General's Department. As a lead portfolio agency the role will also involve some coordination and reporting activities on behalf of our portfolio entities. Key Responsibilities:

maintain and administer access to other agency panel arrangements including Whole of Government coordinated arrangements

assist with procurement reporting requirements for the department and portfolio
-
undertake weekly Austender contract reporting
-
undertake procurement administration functions
-
assist with the preparation and delivery of learning and development program and guidance materials issued by the team
-
coordination of meetings, forums, Communities both internal and external
-
monitor inboxes and central helpline
-
undertake testing of procurement and contract management processes to ensure compliance with relevant frameworks.
Key skills/knowledge to undertake the role:
- manage own time effectively to accomplish tasks, monitoring task completion against milestones

communicate confidently and present messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner

analyse information and make recommendations based on evidence to provide accurate advice and guidance to the department on procurement activities and processes.

understand and be familiar with relevant legislation such as the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act (PGPA), and procurement policy frameworks such as the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), or the capacity to gain this within a short timeframe

willing to complete the Procurement and Contract Management training program via the APS Academy

demonstrate a commitment to building a long term career in procurement within the Department

progression is supported through the development of deep subject matter expertise over time

prior procurement experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
Desirable: Degree qualified and or Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting)
