Join the culinary team at Elysium Manly and bring your passion for food and hospitality to our vibrant beachfront destination. We’re seeking Kitchen Hands and Commis / Demi Chefs to support our busy kitchen across à la carte dining, banquets and events, with opportunities to learn, grow and develop your culinary career.

Main responsibilities:

Support food preparation and service across à la carte, banquets and events.
Prepare and present dishes to consistently high standards.
Maintain clean, organised and hygienic kitchen and work areas.
Follow food safety, hygiene, stock rotation, storage and waste procedures.
Assist with mise en place and stock requirements to support efficient service.
Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Support the team during busy service periods while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Kitchen Hands will assist with dishwashing, cleaning and general kitchen operations.

Your experience and skills include:

Previous kitchen experience preferred, with hotel or high-volume experience advantageous
Commercial Cookery qualification preferred for Commis and Demi Chef roles
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
Chemical handling experience & understanding of safe work practices preferred
Strong work ethic with a positive, team-focused attitude
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Valid Australian Working Rights / Visa is essential
