Join one of Cronulla’s vibrant dining destinations. An exciting hands-on opportunity has become available for an experienced Chef or Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team and help deliver our premium daytime offering.

The Role
We’re looking for a proactive, professional and detail-driven Chef or Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.
Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you’ll be responsible for food preparation, managing your section and delivering consistently high-quality dishes throughout dinner service.
You’ll work with fresh, seasonal and house-made produce sourced across our providore, deli and in-house butchery. This is a hands-on role suited to a team player who takes pride in quality, presentation, organisation and service.
Evening and weekend availability is essential.
Duties
- Complete all food preparation required before service.
- Set up and manage kitchen sections and service.
- Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Monitor the quality, freshness, portioning and presentation of food.
- Conduct taste tests and adjust seasoning, sauces, garnishes and accompaniments where required.
- Maintain consistency and quality throughout dinner service.
- Monitor preparation levels and ensure your section is ready for service.
- Communicate effectively with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and other kitchen team members.
- Assist with receiving, checking, rotating and correctly storing food supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and advise senior chefs of ordering requirements.
- Minimise food waste through correct preparation, portioning and storage.
- Guide and support junior chefs and Kitchen Hands where required.
- Follow all food-safety, hygiene, sanitation and safe food-handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient section before, during and after service.
- Assist with end-of-service cleaning, storage and kitchen close-down duties.
- Follow all reasonable directions from the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience as a Chef, Chef de Partie or experienced Commis Chef in a busy commercial kitchen.
- Relevant culinary qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary cooking techniques and food preparation.
- An appreciation for fresh, seasonal and premium produce.
- The ability to manage your own section while maintaining consistency, quality and organisation.
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
- The ability to work efficiently and remain composed under pressure.
- Strong communication, teamwork and time-management skills.
- A professional, reliable and positive approach to work.
- Availability to work 6am starts and weekends.
