Solar & Battery Sales Consultant

PROBEC Australia is seeking two full-time Solar & Battery Sales Consultants to join our team in Chipping Norton.

The role is focused primarily on warm inbound customer enquiries generated through PROBEC's own digital marketing campaigns.

Customers have already expressed an interest in solar, battery storage or solar-and-battery systems. Your role is to contact those customers, understand their requirements, build trust, present an appropriate solution, maintain consistent follow-up and convert qualified opportunities into profitable sales.

This is not a door-knocking role, and you will not be expected to build your own prospect database.

Responsibilities

Contact warm inbound solar and battery leads
Conduct telephone consultations with homeowners
Understand electricity usage, existing solar and customer objectives
Qualify customers and identify purchase intentions
Review customer/property information before calls
Present solar and battery proposals
Explain system value and PROBEC's service offering
Handle pricing and competitor objections professionally
Maintain structured follow-up with every active opportunity
Update customer information, notes and next actions in our CRM
Use relevant nearby PROBEC installations as genuine customer references
Work with our engineering team where technical advice is required
Manage your individual sales pipeline
Close profitable sales while maintaining PROBEC's commercial requirements

Skills and Experience

Previous solar or battery sales experience is desirable but not essential.

We are particularly interested in applicants with successful experience selling higher-value products or services directly to consumers.

Relevant backgrounds may include solar, batteries, automotive, finance, home improvement, telecommunications, HVAC, roofing, real estate or similar industries.

You should have:

strong verbal communication skills
excellent listening skills
confidence speaking with homeowners
a professional and natural telephone manner
good questioning and customer-engagement skills
consistent follow-up habits
experience working with targets
good organisation and CRM discipline
confidence handling price objections
personal accountability for results

Pay and Commission

Base salary: $60,000 per year + superannuation

Plus uncapped performance commission based on profitable completed sales.

The detailed commission structure will be discussed with shortlisted applicants during the interview process.

This role is designed for a salesperson who wants the security of a base salary while having the opportunity to materially increase their earnings through successful sales performance.

Working Location

This is primarily an on-site position based at PROBEC Australia's Chipping Norton facility.

You will work alongside our operations, engineering and in-house installation team.
