Based at the Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport project, this role is responsible for the safe, reliable and contractually compliant maintenance delivery of Signalling, Communications, Platform Screen Doors (PSD) and Energy SCADA systems, while leading a multidisciplinary maintenance team and driving operational performance.
In this role you will:
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, supervisors, technicians and contractors, fostering a strong safety, quality and continuous improvement culture.
- Manage preventive, corrective, predictive and condition-based maintenance activities across Signalling, Communications, PSD and Energy SCADA systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Drive maintenance performance through KPI monitoring, reliability improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and data-driven decision making.
- Oversee CMMS/AIS governance, maintenance planning, work order control, reporting and evidence-based compliance activities.
- Act as the primary interface with customers, operators, suppliers and internal stakeholders on technical and maintenance matters.
- Support the transition from project delivery into operations and maintenance, ensuring contractual obligations and performance targets are met.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Extensive experience in railway systems maintenance, with strong expertise across both Signalling and Communications systems and leadership experience in an operational rail environment.
- Demonstrated experience across both project delivery and maintenance/O&M environments, including testing, commissioning, handover or transition activities.
- Strong knowledge of CMMS platforms, maintenance governance, reliability engineering, KPI reporting and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Relevant engineering qualifications in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
