Location: Oakleigh South, VIC

Initial Annual Salary: $63,000 + Super

We are a well-established food distribution company based in Oakleigh South VIC, supplying quality food products to customers across nationwide. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our warehouse team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced food warehouse environment. You will be involved in day-to-day warehouse operations including order preparation, pallet handling, and deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Picking and packing customer orders accurately
Preparing, wrapping, and labelling pallets for dispatch
Loading and unloading pallets and cartons
Operating forklifts safely and efficiently (LF licence required)
Dispatching and receiving goods
Delivering orders to customers when required
Pallet preparation, pallet dispatch, and pallet unloading
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse
Complying with food safety, cold-chain, and WHS procedures

Essential Requirements

Valid forklift licence (LF) – at least 1 year experience
Valid full driving licence – essential
Experience in a food warehouse or logistics environment (preferred)
Physically fit and capable of manual handling
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Ability to work independently and follow instructions

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience in cold or frozen food warehousing
Knowledge of food safety standards
Experience with pallet jacks and freight dispatch
Chinese speaking
