We are a well-established food distribution company based in Oakleigh South VIC, supplying quality food products to customers across nationwide. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our warehouse team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced food warehouse environment. You will be involved in day-to-day warehouse operations including order preparation, pallet handling, and deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately
- Preparing, wrapping, and labelling pallets for dispatch
- Loading and unloading pallets and cartons
- Operating forklifts safely and efficiently (LF licence required)
- Dispatching and receiving goods
- Delivering orders to customers when required
- Pallet preparation, pallet dispatch, and pallet unloading
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse
- Complying with food safety, cold-chain, and WHS procedures
Essential Requirements
- Valid forklift licence (LF) – at least 1 year experience
- Valid full driving licence – essential
- Experience in a food warehouse or logistics environment (preferred)
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in cold or frozen food warehousing
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Experience with pallet jacks and freight dispatch
- Chinese speaking
