AngloGold Ashanti Australia currently have an opportunity for a Senior Specialist DT Projects where the role purpose is to coordinate the successful delivery of technology projects and work packages for the region and sites in line with the PMO methodology. This includes coordinating all disciplines, leading on-site implementation activities, monitoring and reporting against baselines, and completing the hand-over of project facilities to appropriate support teams.
Location: This is a Perth based position on a (5/2 roster) with occasional site travel and a flexible working roster when possible.
Accountabilities
Lead teams on the day-to-day execution of Digital Technology projects to ensure delivery against safety, time, financial, and quality objectives.
Accountable for the planning, management, and monitoring of the DT project portfolio for the Business Unit, including scheduling and tracking delivery against baseline schedules.
Manage overall project budgets and forecasts, including commercial and procurement management and invoicing associated with the DT project portfolio.
Develop quality control plans and ensure adherence to regional and global PMO processes and methodology, including status reporting on risks, issues, and KPIs.
Provide a safe work environment for yourself and peers and support compliance to HSE standards.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams (Shared Services, Infrastructure, Apps & Platforms) and external partners (Third Parties, System Integrators, OEMs).
About you
The successful candidate will:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related discipline
Come with 8+ years’ of IT-focused Project Manager experience, including minor works and projects valued over US$1M
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Project Management methodologies (e.g. Agile, PMBOK, Prince2)
Have experience with mining operations and the delivery of projects in remote mining environments
Have formal Project Management Professional accreditation (or eligibility)
Proven ability in leading multidisciplinary activities and managing complex projects
Excellent leadership and communication skills with a high level of "customer" focus
Demonstrated capacity to make sound and timely decisions and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
Strong experience leading and managing suppliers and associated contracts
