MCCABE GROUP PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and skilled Floor Installer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to high-quality flooring projects across the Gold Coast and Brisbane region, working from our Southport QLD office. Huge advantage if the candidate knows how to do Floor Prep, , you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional flooring solutions to our clients, ensuring precision, quality and professionalism on every project,

What you'll be doing

Preparing and measuring floor surfaces to ensure optimal conditions for flooring installation
Installing various types of flooring materials including , vinyl, carpet tiles, sheet vinyl,
Levelling and smoothing subfloors using appropriate tools and techniques (Big advantage if you know how to prep floors)
Fitting and securing flooring materials according to manufacturers' specifications and Australian standards
Finishing and sealing installed flooring to achieve professional results
Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met
Operating and maintaining hand and power tools safely and responsibly
Communicating with project managers and clients to ensure project requirements are met
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment on site
Following all health and safety regulations and site protocols

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Floor Installer or Floor Prep professional in the building trades industry
Sound knowledge of various flooring materials and installation techniques
Proficiency with floor preparation equipment and power tools
Ability to read and interpret floor plans and specifications accurately
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods
Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to different project requirements
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites
Commitment to health and safety best practices
Relevant industry qualifications or certifications are highly desirable
