Zed Contracting is expanding and looking for a skilled and fully qualified Formwork Carpenter to join our team. This is a Fulltime position with 38-hour basic weeks.
The Role
We are currently recruiting skilled formwork carpenters for a permanent, full–time position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build, install, and dismantle formwork for concrete structures, ensuring precision and alignment to project specifications.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and plans to execute formwork tasks accurately.
- Order materials per project requirements.
- Assist in concrete pouring, ensuring that the formwork is properly set and aligned for an impeccable finish.
- Inspect formwork structures to ensure they meet the project's quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain and care for carpentry tools and equipment to ensure their longevity and effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot and solve any formwork-related issues that may arise during the construction process.
Minimum Requirements:
AQF Certificate III or IV in the relevant field
Carpentry/ concrete: 2 years (Required)
Machinery: 2 years (Preferred)
Construction White Card
Desirable Skills:
Safety procedures knowledge
Positive, can do attitude and enjoy working in inclusive team
Valid Driving License and transport desirable
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks.
