MCCABE GROUP PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and skilled Floor Installer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to high-quality flooring projects across the Gold Coast and Brisbane region, working from our Southport QLD office. Huge advantage if the candidate knows how to do Floor Prep, , you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional flooring solutions to our clients, ensuring precision, quality and professionalism on every project,
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and measuring floor surfaces to ensure optimal conditions for flooring installation
- Installing various types of flooring materials including , vinyl, carpet tiles, sheet vinyl,
- Levelling and smoothing subfloors using appropriate tools and techniques (Big advantage if you know how to prep floors)
- Fitting and securing flooring materials according to manufacturers' specifications and Australian standards
- Finishing and sealing installed flooring to achieve professional results
- Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Operating and maintaining hand and power tools safely and responsibly
- Communicating with project managers and clients to ensure project requirements are met
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment on site
- Following all health and safety regulations and site protocols
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Floor Installer or Floor Prep professional in the building trades industry
- Sound knowledge of various flooring materials and installation techniques
- Proficiency with floor preparation equipment and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans and specifications accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to different project requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites
- Commitment to health and safety best practices
- Relevant industry qualifications or certifications are highly desirable
