Up In Stone is an Australian stone masonry and tiling contractor that specializes in premium residential, commercial, civil, and architectural projects. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Queensland, the company delivers end-to-end stone installation services, including natural stonewalls, retaining walls, feature walls, commercial cladding, paving, oversized tiling, pool tiling, and restoration work.

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Stonemason to join our growing team on the Gold Coast. In this role, you will work across a variety of residential and light commercial projects, delivering exceptional craftsmanship and high-quality finishes while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Daily tasks include:
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, and install natural stone, engineered stone, and other masonry materials to specification.
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, and project specifications to ensure accurate installation.
- Prepare surfaces for installation, including levelling, screeding, and waterproofing where required.
- Lay and fix natural stone, porcelain, ceramic, and mosaic tiles using appropriate adhesives, mortars, and fixing methods.
- Apply grout, sealants, and finishes to achieve a high-quality, durable result.
- Repair, restore, and replace damaged stone and tiled surfaces as required.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and stone-cutting equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with Australian Standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe worksite in accordance with workplace health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople, and clients to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Stonemason (at least 1 year)
- Trade qualification in Stone Masonry - Certificate III or equivalent preferred
- White Card (Construction Induction Card
- Own tools and reliable transport
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and communication skills
Annual salary: $83.000 + superannuation (38 hours of work per week)
Pay: $83,000.00 per year
