POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsible for developing maintenance planning strategies, and schedules, coordinating with Despatch and monitoring the maintenance of all Heavy vehicles and plant equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Create and maintain schedules for routine maintenance tasks on Heavy vehicles and plant equipment.
Allocate resources such as skilled labour, spare parts, and tools required for maintenance tasks.
Implement regular inspections of Heavy vehicles and plant equipment to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns or disruptions while operational.
Ensure that maintenance activities adhere to strict WA Main Roads standards and Compliance.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment performance, and any adjustments made during maintenance.
Develop and implement emergency response plans for unexpected equipment failures to minimize downtime and potential impact on Customer deliveries.
Work closely with venue Manager to ensure that maintenance activities do not compromise Safety or Compliance.
Provide training to maintenance personnel on safety regulations, proper handling of equipment, and the use of specialized tools.
Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and sustainability in maintenance practices, aligning with the organization environmental goals.
Assist in developing and managing maintenance budgets, considering the unique needs.
Work with suppliers and vendors to source quality spare parts and equipment components, ensuring compatibility with Fleet standards.
