Grants and Partnerships Officer
The City of Melville is seeking an organised and proactive Grants and Partnerships Officer to join our Advocacy and Grants team on a 12-month fixed-term, part-time basis (0.4 FTE). This role provides an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of the City's Community Grants and Sponsorships Program while assisting with the administration of external funding opportunities and partnerships that contribute to achieving the City's strategic priorities.

Salary: Level 5 $90,561.18 to $ 96,024.59 pro-rata p.a. + 12% Super
Employment Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Part Time (0.4 FTE)
What You’ll Be Doing
- As the Grants and Partnerships Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the City's funding and community investment activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate the administration of the City's Community Grants and Sponsorships Program, including applications, assessments, correspondence and record keeping.
- Assist with the preparation and administration of external grant applications, funding agreements and reporting requirements.
- Provide advice and support to individuals, community groups and internal stakeholders on grants processes, funding requirements and acquittals.
- Maintain accurate grants registers, records and systems to ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
- Monitor funding milestones, deadlines and reporting obligations across grant and sponsorship programs.
- Prepare reports, correspondence and data insights to support program delivery and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and administrative efficiencies across grants and funding activities.
- Support the Advocacy and Grants team with general administration and maintenance of grants-related information on the City's website.
What We’re Looking For
You will be an organised and detail-oriented professional with experience in grants, funding programs or related administration, and the ability to manage priorities, maintain accurate records and support compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated administration experience in grants, funding programs or a related area.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience maintaining records, systems and compliance documentation.
- Sound Microsoft Office skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- A current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.
